Ripon is surrounded by hundreds of acres of beautiful almond orchards and holds an annual Almond Blossom Festival attracting 25,000 plus a year to celebrate its status as the Almond Blossom Capital of the World.  The Stanislaus River, which has been known as the cleanest river in the Central Valley, forms the southern boundary of Ripon.  Ripon is also home to Spring Creek Country Club, a private 18-hole golf course that winds among stately oaks and orchards, as well as a very popular 18-hole public golf course which borders the Stanislaus River.  The school system is highly rated and there is a wide choice of housing, cultural and recreational activities, churches and pleasant shopping areas.
